Old Course at St Andrews, 2025 Scotland
The Old Course at St Andrews, often called the “Home of Golf,” is the oldest and most revered course in the world. Golf has been played on this historic stretch of links land in Fife, Scotland, since the early 15th century, with official records dating back to 1552. Over centuries, the course evolved naturally from the winds and dunes that shape its iconic fairways, including the famous Road Hole (17th) and the vast double greens shared by multiple holes. It was here that the foundations of modern golf – like 18 holes and the spirit of sportsmanship – were established. Managed by the St Andrews Links Trust, the Old Course remains a pilgrimage site for golfers worldwide, symbolizing both tradition and timeless beauty.
