
My trip to Cambodia was completely spontaneous – a last-minute adventure after a few days in Singapore for work.
These images capture what met me in Siem Reap on my first day. I was guided by history, by nature, by the moon, and by strangers who quickly became angels.
At Angkor Wat, my guide Yoko told me the story of a Buddha who has "stood the test of time." Through centuries of war, the stone around it was peppered with bullet holes, yet the Buddha itself remained untouched.
"God," was Yoko's only explanation.
Just a week earlier, I'd been at home in LA debating whether to foster a dog. Then suddenly, on a Friday, I found myself alone at a temple's steps, crying and so unbelievably grateful.
This collection is about the quiet ways life leads you, the grace that finds you when you let it, and the blessings that come when you are open to them.
